Compulsory egg stamping introduced in NSW to improve tracing

The NSW Government has introduced compulsory stamping of eggs, in an effort to improve their traceability in the event of an outbreak.

As eggs are a leading source of salmonella outbreaks, the government was particularly wary of improving the ability to better track an outbreak, according to Minister Katrina Hodgkinson.
