Australia Suffers Cybercrime Damages Worth $1bn Every Year

Malware presents as one of the biggest threats to Australia, with cybercrime costing roughly one billion dollars per years. This is projected to rise still with cybercrime being increasingly endorsed on criminal market platforms and becoming increasingly complex.

 

Intricate Malware can now be used for stalking and identity theft, just to name a few. In light of the prevalence of Internet use among Australians, the Australian Crime Commission has made tackling cybercrime a top priority. The government too, is pushing for a safer Internet environment which promotes economic activity.
