ACCC encourages small businesses to leverage food and grocery code against supermarkets

Coming into effect in June, the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct is aimed at enabling suppliers and wholesalers to have more negotiating power and better capacity to stand tall against supermarkets as they “race to the bottom” to compete.

The Code of Conduct is heralded by ACCC deputy chair Michael Schaper as being “a step forward”.
