Australia has a big role to play in feeding the world

Australia has a history of agricultural business innovation – and it has been a cornerstone of our national longevity.

The harsh climate of Australia has been battled for the better part of 200 years, and farming has provided rural areas with employment, shaped our biodiversity and conservation, and provided much of the food which Australians eat.

Agriculture also provides us with export earnings – safe, clean food of high quality has long been a point of pride among Australian farmers.

As the global demand for food increases with the population, Australia will have an ever-larger role to play in helping feed the world.
